The overall experience at Kaz was wonderful. I especially enjoy the sushi specials. The waitress explained the different types of fish that were included in the specials. The restaurant is clean as well as the bathrooms. Would have been great if she made some recommendations, but overall she was very efficient and friendly.

The quality of the food, atmosphere and presentation is still top notch. Many years we blindly chose Kaz for my birthday dinner and have not stopped coming.

I had a fantastic time! The atmosphere of the restaurant was pleasant to be in, and there food and drinks were outstanding. Our server was also very welcoming and attentive.

Overall it was a fine experience. Portions on a smaller size and prices a bit higher average.. But everything tasted fresh, and the service was good..

I came with my wife and two kids. It was the best sushi and Japanese food we had in DC so far. Chef Kaz also took time to chat with us about the food and Japan. The place is classy and in a nice DC location. I've been to sushi bistros in Tokyo, and Kaz Sushi is at par with those in Japan. That was a lovely evening. We are glad we chose Kaz Sushi for dinner that night.

Very good food. Seating is excellent, staff was prompt with good service. We came for Restaurant week, and enjoyed the appetizer, sushi selections and the dessert. Would love to have the recipe for the Brussels sprouts salad - the balsamic dressing is to die for.

fabulous sushi and many innovative japanese inspired dishes. The staff are excellent, The food is beautiful and tastes as good as it looks. I come for lunch a lot, and dinner regularly. I give Kaz an A

excellent in every way! a great, small restaurant with outstanding food and service. we had lots of tasting plates that were all unique and delicious.

The food was excellent and our evening was everything we had hoped it would be. We didn't feel rushed but the food came when we were ready. The servers were very nice and we enjoyed meeting the chef.

The toro maki and the wallu sashimi were outstanding. Our waitress's recommendations were great. The sushi was fresh and unique, and there were many interesting options to choose from as well as new things to try!

I was impressed. The server recommendations were tasty, and the atmosphere was relaxing without sacrificing vibrancy.

The food was excellent and the microbrewed Japanese beer prepared for Kaz was especially excellent.

Excellent food, quick, and nice service, better remember to make a reservation on Fridays and Saturdays evenings.

Fantastic weekday dinner experience. Everyone who is anyone knows Kaz has the freshest sushi in DC!

The server was respectful, attentive but not overbearing. We especially appreciated her explanation of the items we had ordered when they arrived, not leaving us to guess which item was which; especially important in a sushi restaurant. The food was fresh and well presented.

A tucked away gem of a place, Kaz Sushi Bistro serves fresh, inviting and innovative cuisine. Everyone from greeting to goodbyes was professional, efficient and friendly.

Fantastic!! Food was delicious and our waiter was not only attentive but extremely friendly and happy! Overall great experience. I will definitely be coming back!!

The server could not have been more charming and helpful. Loved the Brussels Sprouts and the jicama salad as always. The food is always superb. Lovely experience.

Our server was very helpful and professional. The sea urchin sushi was delicious as were the ginger brussel sprouts. The atmosphere was right in-between casual and fine dining, which was what we were hoping for. We would definitely visit again.

Kaz is one of my favorite restaurants, period. Everything is carefully prepared with fresh ingredients and the care that is put into each dish is evident in every bite. During my last visit to Kaz, I had some standard favorites, including the vegetable miso soup (rich and complex), the green salad with ginger dressing (lovely), and a few sushi rolls.

Understanding and fast. And the food was well prepared. I will definitely recommend Kaz sushi bistro to others.

Really have enjoyed both my experiences there. Plus i was with my work mates, celebrating one's birthday.

The tuna nigiri with kalamata olive spread, the yellow tail nigiri with lime, and the flounder nigiri with ume were our favorites, although everything was very good. Our server made some good recommendations, especially for beer!

The Brussels sprouts are fantastic. We also love the scallops and drinks. Wish this would happen again.

The grilled baby octopus was so tender, it almost melted in my mouth. The seaweed salad was tremendously flavorful, as was the tempura. The server was attentive, and service was prompt, which we appreciated.

Crunchy shrimp roll, salmon belly, jumbo soft shell crab roll w/ jalapeno-ponzu sauce. I frequently order the Temaki Special at lunch. I like to come in and eat at the bar because I work in the same block as Kaz. I like the buzz at lunch time. I love Kaz and all of the innovative sushi creations like Salmon w/mango puree, seared salmon belly w/soy-lemon sauce, tuna w/foie gras-miso, and not to mention crispy brussels sprouts w/ ginger dressing!

I love Kaz Sushi Bistro. I live in NYC and honestly, I would say that I like Kaz more than any other Fine Japanese cuisine in NYC. I drove out to DC from NYC and had to stop at Kaz everytime. My favorite sushi is the Salmon Belly. The bird nest is also awesome. The serve always recommend good dishes everytime. Overall, this is my favorite restaurant in DC and my favorite sushi place out of all cities.

Love it! The freshest, most innovative sushi in town that mixes tradition with new ideas. The salmon is like dessert it is so buttery and delicious.

This is a number one hotspot in Metro DC area! Delicate sushi, great service- overall a fantastic dining experience!
