This attorney's address is now 1101 15th Street, Suite 910, Washington, DC 20005 HOMEOWNERS BEWARE: I can’t speak for the other homeowners who sought the assistance of William C. Johnson; however, I will speak on behalf of my mother’s experience. This attorney is very misleading, his character is filled with greed, he will take your money, not work the case, not return phone calls and is 100% non-productive. He claims to be affiliated with various organizations that support homeowners, but he simply doesn’t deliver. “Empty talk” is what I call it. He is, however, a member of the Bar Association, so there is no need to file a complaint with them. I am sure it will get expunged. My mother went to mediation in attempt to save her home. Her attorney arrived late, was not fully prepared, presented incorrect information, so she became the “voice” in presenting most of her information. After mediation, the documents that were later given to him for court submission were never submitted, and therefore, my mother’s home was scheduled for sale. He never told her, despite her many messages for him to contact her. When she advised him of the foreclosure sale, as she received a letter in the mail, rather than taking accountability for not doing his job, or perhaps his inability to effectively carry out the duties of a fully paid attorney, his reply to her was that she submitted the documents late to his office as if she was going to forget when she turned in the documents. She reminded him that the documents were submitted to his office within the timeframe given by the court. It is okay to admit when we have made a mistake or forgot to do something or perhaps, don’t know how to do it, but it is not okay to intentionally mislead. Since she was getting nowhere with Mr. Johnson, I repeat, who was paid in full, we began contacting the court and using other resources, and finally, information began to unfold. We felt like she was taken for a ride, particularly, when the court questioned us about his validity as a “real practicing foreclosure attorney.” We were advised that information he submitted to the mortgage company’s attorney’s office, should have been submitted to the court. Absolutely unbelievable. Because of the lack of integrity and feedback from this attorney, she was advised by the court to file a motion to stay in her home, because he had not done so. That was his responsibility as her attorney. The service of this attorney is subpar at best, and that is being very modest. Too often, people’s hearts are filled with greed and malicious intent so much so that they are willing to devastate the lives of others at any cost and for their own selfish gain. God never slumbers and He sees the wicked hearted. Vengeance belongs to God. My mother’s case is already won no matter what it looks like because God is far greater than any man could ever be, and in that, she will prevail. And for you, Mr. Johnson, I can only pray that you open up your heart and allow God to convert it and fill it with compassion that you will do right by others and not misuse your position to exploit those who seek your services. After all, it is God who put you in that position and is nothing that you have achieved by your own merit.
